This colorful spot is an authentic Japanese garden featuring a Zen meditation garden; “wet strolling” area with waterfalls, lakes, and streams; and an authentic teahouse with an adjacent tea garden. Free docent-guided tours are available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturday mornings.

Ringed by mountains, rivers and streams, the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve is haven of rest for wildlife and humans alike, a welcome oasis within an urban setting.
Located near Burbank Boulevard and can be entered on either Burbank Blvd. or Woodley Avenue.

Woodley Avenue between Burbank and Victory Blvd. Presently available at the 2,031 acre park are three 18-hole golf courses, a 100-acre outdoor athletic field, four baseball diamonds, a 20-acre picnic area, a wildlife refuge and lake, bike paths and a model airplane field.

Lake Balboa

Anthony C. Beilenson Park is an 80 acre water recreation facility within the Sepulveda Flood Control basin. The centerpiece of the park, Lake Balboa, is a 27 acre lake. Recreation activities include fishing, boating, remote-control boating and jogging/walking.
Access is from Balboa Boulevard.
